They LITERALLY have the gate from the castle wall, the WALLS of the labyrinth, costumes, the door knockers-it was ABSOULTELY amazing. Lastly we did the Labyrinth exhibit which holy CRAP I turned into a 8 year old again. Then we hit the Jim Henson collection which was awesome and really brought back lots of great childhood memories. We even got to LITERALLY put on and manipulate 2 samurais and a dragon and it was AMAZINGLY fun! There were several masks from the LION KING Broadway run and so on and so forth. So after that kid goal was done we moved on through the center-we went through the puppets of history side of the building first and it was awesome-there were puppets from different cultures, time periods and shows. First off the building itself is funky and fun-and after you buy your ticket (regular walk around $10.50) you are faced with JARETH's throne from Labyrinth that you can sit in and take pics of and in (i literally took about 50). And just my luck the LABYRINTH exhibit was here so we HAD to go. I found this on a whim looking at Trip advisor on things to do in ATL. Maybe it was a fluke? If I go again and it’s better, I’ll definitely revise. But I will really have to prepare myself in order to politely endure this kind of treatment again. The puppet show was so great, that I would love to go back again. Give people a program and then leave them alone. They would have been better off to just let people sit wherever they wanted. Again, I have never seen ushering like this before.

Then, they gave the people who came in late the middle seats that we had come early to get. Then another usher forced half of us move to the far end, leaving the best seats empty in the middle. She directed us into a row and we sat halfway down. When we came in, they told us to go down to the usher in the pink shirt. I felt like they treated everyone like three year old. I have never seen ushering quite line this in a general admission setting. So why did I rate only 2 stars? The blessed ushers. I especially enjoyed the muppet section - I had no idea about Henson’s work prior to Sesame Street, so this was fascinating to me. Highly recommend it!Īnd the museum exhibits were very detailed and interesting. This performance was outstanding - definitely worth 5 stars! The music/singing were top notch, and the puppeteers were flawless.
